School Leadership Team 2023-2024

PS 122‘s School Leadership Team is responsible for evaluating the quality of the school’s educational program and its effect on student achievement. The Team’s focus is on developing educational strategies that lead to continuous student improvement. The School Leadership Team is composed of an equal number of parents and staff. Any parent interested in becoming a member of the School Leadership team should contact the PTO President.

Mission Statement

Our collaborative school community will provide excellent, standards-driven curricula to all students. Students will achieve their full scholastic and social potential to become creative and critically-thinking life-long learners and productive global citizens.

A key area of focus for this school year is to support teachers and teacher teams to refine Rigorous Instruction, improve alignment of assessments to curricula, use on-going assessment and grading practices to analyze information on student learning outcomes. We will strengthen the instructional core and incorporate professional development to support initiatives in Advanced Literacy Skills. In this way we can adjust instructional decisions and practices at the team and classroom levels. This is particularly important in supporting increased student learning for all students, especially for our students with disabilities and English Language Learners.
